KRISTY LIU
Graphic Designer. Artist. Science Student?
Hi, I’m Kristy and I’m an Occupational Therapy student. But before this, I was enrolled in a digital arts program throughout my high school career. During this time, I developed a keen eye for art and design. Well-versed in the Adobe Creative Suite, I have previously explored brochure and web design, photography, branding, packaging, animation, video editing, photo manipulation and more. Most importantly though, I am adaptable, innovative and strive for compelling storytelling within my works to incorporate both a strong concept and execution. With my background in healthcare and the sciences along with my genuine passion for design, I bring a unique blend of skills that I would be happy to extend to you and your team. Feel free to browse through the samples of work I have provided, and get in touch if you would like to see more, or have a project in mind that you’d like to explore together.

VISUAL
ART
MY FIRST LOVE.
Growing up, art has always been an outlet for my thoughts, feelings, and emotions. In general, I strive to create pieces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but convey a strong message, focusing heavily on conceptual development. My distinct, detailed, sketchy style is the unifying component in all my pieces, allowing me to not only tell a story through each individual piece of art but through my work as a collective. I hope that as you look through the art I have produced over the years, you will be able to uncover some of my hidden stories and ultimately witness my development as an artist.

GRAPHIC
DESIGN
A FEAR CONQUERED.
Prior to entering the CyberARTs program, I barely knew which side of my USB to plug into my computer. (Okay, I admit. I still struggle with that). Regardless, over the course of my four high school years, I began to grow comfortable with all things graphic design, immersing myself in the Adobe Creative Suite products and –temporarily— converting from Windows to Apple. With all my assigned projects, I strived to go above and beyond focusing heavily on a strong concept to propel my work, much like with my traditional art pieces. Feel free to explore my projects and let me know what you think.
